I have included notes beneath each site describing the automation implemented there, where applicable. -

Heffner and Weber

As a subcontractor to OPS Consulting LLC, SyddWare developed the Heffner and Weber "business card" initial web offering by reproducing their harcopy brochure on the web. This is the first phase of a larger task coming in 2001 to develop a full featured Heffner and Weber site. Heffner & Weber is a full service Design-Build Construction Company based in the Baltimore-Washington DC area that has successfully designed, built or renovated more than 18 million square feet of commercial space valued at nearly $750 million.

LOGICON DPC Technologies

As a subcontractor to OPS Consulting LLC, SyddWare developed the GSA IT Online Ordering area of the LOGICON DPC Technologies website. As a VAR for Compaq, Gateway, Kodak, VA Linux and others, LOGICON DPC Technologies has established this new web capability for 2000 and beyond. Automation Notes: Full documentation was provided to DPC to allow their in-house developers to expand the vendors supported, product lines and product level of detail (including product pictures, thumbnails and tech spec pages) without having to program any HTML. The overall look and feel of all catalog pages can be changed at any time (and in fact was completely changed from its initial delivery just prior to launch) by modifying a few template files. Most pages are cached but may be generated on-demand as the database is modified.

The Daily Feed

"Coming up next, another totally unslanted opinion from yet ANOTHER editor of The Daily Feed." The Daily Feed is Radio's Satire Column currently heard on the radio in The Nation's Capitol and on other progressivly minded radio stations around the country. Here you can find a different complete Daily Feed installment in RealAudio 14,400, 28,800 and G2 formats each weekday. You can order one or more of their newsreel cassettes or CDs with the best of their shows from years past or their T-Shirt. There's also some gif animation, a photo archive, replacement sounds for those AOL "You've got mail" sounds, and much more. Listen to WRNR 103.1FM in the Washington DC/Baltimore Metropolitan area for updates or just keep stopping back. If you don't live near DC and want to hear them on your radio, contact your local forward thinking station manager and plead for it - wire them up to our web page. Automation Notes: After the daily audio content is uploaded, the site automatically changes all effected pages and servers without human intervention. Several web pages and SMIL content files are changed by this process, freeing the site owner to focus on content (and freeing their wallets from the need to pay SyddWare to update the HTML and SMIL on a daily basis).

Didn't find anything above or was the location too limiting? Try this headhunter agency who has positions all over. The site is still in its infancy, but you can checkout their layout. And they're certainly in business if you'd like to send a resume. Automation Notes: IR staff are able to post new job listings to the site using a special interface that does not require andy HTML or programming experience.

Big Brothers / Big Sisters of the National Capital Area

SyddWare helps maintain the BB/BS NCA website, including the Prince Georges County Council pages. This non-profit organization pairs "Bigs" with "Littles" in a mentorship program. This site incorporates the National Capital Area including chapters in Northern Virginia, Montgomery and Prince Georges Counties in Maryland, and Washington DC. Automation Notes: Status of contributions to the Annual Marine Corps Marathon Run For Kids' Sake are automatically applied in several ways to the site, including a "thermometer" progress indicator, top contributors list, and by-runner totals query form. SyddWare also provided a way to query live the status of all BB/BS NCA participating runners from an online database in one query as opposed to 60+ separate queries. Coming in 2001 an internal behind the scenes web based approach to site update request and tracking.

Automation Notes: The awards and links page is updated via a special interface by the proprietor or FPP without the aid or intervention of SyddWare.
